If you're gonna lay ply down on the frame anyway, you need the thinnest and lighest finish wood for weight, which may or may not mean Pergo. Otherwise, you're gonna wanna use 1 by planks--HEAVY.
But, why, oh WHY do you think you need a finished wood floor in a 6 by 10?
Yeah, I've heard all of this crap before about building it the way you want it, but what's the point, and what's the end game here?
Do you HAVE to have the plank look?
If so, ply subfloor, and parquet wood TILES. They're light.
