Router Bit Question

Jim, I was just kidding. In case you didn't notice, I'm totally nuts over routers and, like clamps, one cannot have too many, IMNSHO.

Not a problem. I really don't know too much about routers so I do need to learn more.

Auntie M, ditto what you said. I wear a safety mask(goggles over my glasses in reallife) and hearing protection when using power tools. Most of the time...(At least 80%) I'm short for a guy(6'-0") and I'm worried about my looks and finger count too... Sorry, I almost forgot da pics. I'll post those tomorrow... Miriam, if I forget please give me a shout...

Genlemen, in case we forgot to peek at MK's pics, dem bits is carbide tipped/bladed, whatever the appropriate word is. I, personally, have not seen a high-speed steel bit(for a router) in about 20 years. They do tend to burn out before one can say "Ah"...

The HF door bits threw me for a loop one day. The stiles vs rails were(and still are) off by about .02". Not enough for most people to notice... A pain for me...

PS It was not the way I set the bits up, just another thing to consider when buying the more elaborate ones.

Thanks Ilya! And Yes It did Help!!! I trimmed the top and bottom edge of the hatch this afternoon,
and it went smoothly,
except for one oopsy
that will be covered with trim.

Ummmm have you put your new sides on yet? Before you panic here. You can add trim to the edge of the hatch to come out over the new siding. It is only 1/8". Sorry

I didn't cut the sheet "exactly" the correct size before we glued it to the hatch. I want some maneuvering room. So I was over some...
