Navy Blue Angels Fatal Crash

I hate to post this but I know we have several aviation buffs here, me included. :(
My prayers and thoughts go to these fine men and their families, and to all others that were involved or hurt. :worship:

Their performances seem so sanitary and professional you'd never think they loose a pilot. But they do. :(

In the article, one person said that birds can be a problem. Not much you can do if a bird decides to get in your way. It is an unfortunate accident. I've seen the T-birds about a kabillion times but I've never watched the Blues.

We were camping at Hunting Island S.C. (about 15 miles from Beaufort) We only heard a couple of jets. Never heard the crash or anything. Didn't know about it until we got home.

Man, when I was a kid I use to see the Blue Angels at Lockheed/Dobbins AFB. I saw some great shows.

And a family that was best friends with my mom & dad, they're son was the commander of the Thunderbirds. He was recently featured on Dogfights on the History channel. So yeah, I hate to hear when one of these fellas go down. :(

Oh yeah, pics of the Tear and Hunting Island coming soon.
I poked it with a stick..........
