Hunter HU-3 Galley Redesign Complete

trying to decide on Moffit Beach or Northhampton Beach for mid trip nights.. anyone been to these? (both are state parks north north west of Albany NY).

Might also stay at 'Lake George RV Park' (adirondacks NY) for a different experience. Its RV's only which I think we qualify as since we have an electrical hookup (could plug the battery charger into the extension cord), and we kind of have a water hookup (can use the hose to fill our 5gal water 'tank'). We can only bring a tent for my son as long as we have 'the RV' and the tent is used for sleeping only. ha ha!

We live 20 minutes from Northhampton...Too crowded/noisey, A party hangout for the youngin's!
Iv'e been to Moffit's beach, 1 hr. from us, nice, a lot like Fish Creek Ponds.
Lake George is also about 1 hr from us. I've never been there, although, I travel by it a lot for work. It looks nice, a pool, rec facilities etc.Friends of my daughter stay there often, in thier pop-up. Lots of outlet stores within walking distance...Kate??? A really big amusement park is a couple of miles from the campsite...Roller-coasters!!! Yahoo!!:?

Have you, or anyone else here seen the Free Campgrounds Directory? What do you think of the campgrounds in it?

Steve do you know the sites at Moffitt Beach very well? I think I will book 2 nights there, hopefully waterfront.

We should be in Lake George Sunday Aug 21 thru 23, give or take a day or so. I'll have dates on our website in the camping section once we're booked.

Mike I haven't seen the free campground directory myself. I figure if its 'free' its not going to be all that great. Waterfront is always one of our main goals, along with ice cream truck servce and the like. We're also pretty set on doing State or provincial park camping mainly. Do any State parks have free camping?

Dave ...really like the re-design. Its all about what works for you when it comes to the galley. I am on my third or forth version...I can't remember but I think I finally have what I want. And that,s what it is all about.. Great job!

Well, we don't need the ice cream. But we have the book and we want to try a few sites and see if it's any good.

We are also hoping that it increases the availability of camping sites, cause it seems here in MI the sites fill up faster than black flies on a dirty windshield. Know what I mean?

You had to go and show that to me. The galley. It looks very functional and is very attractive. I like it very much.

Somehow, I have got kitchen issues on my mind lately. Here is a guy who sells plans for "chuck boxes". They are modular units that provide storage and extend to make work surfaces.

Several of these units could be placed beneath the counter of a fairly simple galley and, when removed, provide a lot of utility.

Sigh. It seeems the method of successive approximations is going to apply here. I think the main thing will be to get out, use it, and find out what works.
