One question; What about a fishing license? Does New York State require a short term license to fish at FCP?

A 7 day non-resident license is $25 according to information I found on the web.

Joseph, Has anyone heard from Tom Sweeney? I've never met Tom but from his "old" avatar it appeared that he might be fond of the Martini.
Since spending more time with one of our customers (Bacardi), the Grey Goose Martini is becoming a good friend of mine too.

Maybe Tom can handle the Martini duty as the Bloody Mary and Marguirita shifts are filling up..

I like blue cheese stuffed olives and a little olive brine in mine. (just in case he's listening).

If not, I'll come prepared any way.

Wow Dave! Just looked at the list of participants, we've got a lot of new faces coming this year! Is there a pavillion at FCP they would let us use for the pot-luck dinner?

We just booked site 251 thruday-sunday.Can hardly wait. We were at the fall gathering in Nicks Lake.Had a good time. This will our first time at fishcreek pond. See ya all there. JIM

Well I hope this is the last snow storm ! I think we might just find some snow up there in June. I intend to bring a snow shovel just in case ! I am glad to see such a huge turnout this year and we cant wait to see all of you again. Maybe this year we will generate even more tear droppers then ever before ! I will be coming up for at least a day--maybe the weekend if I can get away from work for that long (running away with both feet!)

Rick and Diane gave me a tour of the Fandrop this afternoon--such amazing detail and work, right down to the pine tree cupboard pulls! Thanks so much for giving me my very first teardrop tour...now I really want to meet everyone!

Maybe the tear-up weeked will be lucky and have some of today's perfect weather, too.

Yippee! Wow what a turn out! We now have 22 tiny campers coming, and 43 very enthusiastic people. With the promise of perfect weather and margaritas we should have a great time.

Kate and I just returned from 8 days in Jamaica to 'pre-tan' for the TearUp. We be jumpin for joy!

Only 52 days to go... guess we better get back to planning things.



PS. Steve you better bring some extra waffle supplies for this crew!

Dave and Kate, This is an important timeline for me since my (older) son is getting married in Pittsburgh the weekend prior to our trip to FCP.

My wife and I are still working out the logistics but it looks as if she will spend a few nights at FCP with me. She will visit her sister in Sheburne , VT during the week.
After that we will have at least one or two nights at FCP and she will be able to enjoy the new friends she'll meet.

I'm ready right now, but I'll have to wait a little.

Really looking forward to FCP.

Well hopefully you're wife can make it for a couple of nights Kurt to keep you in check . Sounds like a busy fun 2 weeks you have planned!

We plan on picking up our Airstream this weekend to get ready for camping in early May at FC which is now open for camping. Not sure when or if the teardrop will make an appearance at the campground this year.

Kate and I will be at our vacation home in Lake Placid the week prior to the TearUp, so we'll probably come by during the week or invite you over. Lots to see in Lake Placid too! We're thinking of coming over on the Thursday as well to add another day to stay at the TearUp.

We're just getting back to discussing a few informal activities and the potluck, so will be posting more in a day or so.

Dave, so far the plan is to arrive at FCP on Monday June 11 and stay one night. Then I'll take my wife to her sister's in Shelburne,VT and return to FCP. Then on Saturday (or Friday), I'll pick her up and stay at FCP unitil Sunday when we head home.

Who knows, she might just stay all week at FCP (but I doubt it). She is an adventurer but she is also a realist. We have a neat relationship in that we enjoy many of the same things,(at different levels) and we enjoy things aside from each other's interests.
She'll put up with a long camping trip if I'll put up with a day of shopping or antiquing. You know what I mean.

She has never seen the ADKs, only the stories I've told her about my childhood camping experiences.
As always, if the weather is nice and the restrooms are clean and convenient, the picture could change for the better.

I can't say enough good things about her. I'll just bet that she and Kate (both being Red Heads) might just find some common ground also.

June is quickly approaching and we have a good sized gathering here in Indiana on May 18-20 (22 trailers so far) so I'm getting excited about the 2007 season.

I look forward to meeting you and all of the other FCP campers.
