favorite beer

Guinness is my favorite. My wife has joined my doctors in insisting that I find a new lighter favorite. When I suggested Shiner Bock, Fat Tire, or even Bass they were not amused. I am presently sampelling all the light beers out there, so far my opinion is "What's the point??"....

I have 1 of their bottles but I've been afraid to try it, the bottle's pretty cool, another saying on it is "You're Not Worthy"
P.S. The main reason I'm scared to try it, it's impossible to get in FL. and if I like it I'll have to spend a fortune to get it!

Utica Club Pilsener from my home town brewery.

Rick , some of the "unknowns" or home town brews aren't bad.
One of my favorites is Genesee Creme ale. Little Kings is good too.

My favorites are the German recipes with a strong and creamy head.

Also on the list is Grosch, St Paulie, and Becks dark as well as the dark Michelob recipes.

I don't like weak beers like Natural light, Miller Lite, Bud Light but the old "Dry" Beers weren't bad.

Can you tell, I'm not all that picky but it has to be cold with little salt added.

Aye, I've sampled a bit of Arrogant Bastard Ale in me day, a worthy brew it be, ave been called one as well. I still have Guinness, Shiner Bock, and Holly Grail Ale in the beer fridge (on the porch of course), but me lady has tabs on the count so I've been unalbe to imbide. The health keepers of late ave me seeking a bit more transparent brew I'm afraid. Something akin to well water yet a bit less tasty......??

I really prefer a dark beer and like Michelob Amber Bock. A few months ago, I tried the Bud Supreme and been drinking that until last trip to WM when I needed to resuppply and there were out of both...so, I just settled for a 12 pack of Bud Longnecks (Any of it has to be in bottles!!!)

I think you will have to tell them thar' health police that continuing to drink Guiness is the lesser of two evils. Going through withdrawls will do more damage to your health (mental and physical)

Besides I do not think that any kilt wearin' Scot know what watered down ale is, also if God had wanted not to drink good ales or stouts he would have never invented those strains of yeast.

I drank this in Manhattan in the 80s, and I think that's when they first went "national." And I agree with Brick that I'm glad we have it here in Florida, although I've never had it here.

But there's simply no way it's the same stuff they sell up in PA.

However, it had a real KICK in New York, so I think the alc content had to be higher, which probably isn't allowed in Florida. (We're only allowed to sell more guns--not better booze.)

So the best beer of all time is, of course, long neck Bud bottles.

I guess one of these days you will have to get educated on the finer points of Beer.

If I want to drink colored water, I would grab a Bud, since that is never on the menu almost anything else is preferred.

Ira if you learned to make your own you would never go back to drinkin' swill. If you want to know about cost - I can make 5 gallons(about 36 grolsch bottles) for around $18

I'm glad to see the positive reaction to the "Glass beer bottle". For the past 41 years I've been involved in the glass container business and have designed and made beer bottles over that period. The consensus ( across tye country) appears to be that glass is the best container for beer. It just seems to taste better, and I don't think it will change in the near future. For my sake, keep buying beer in bottles.

I like dark beers, Giraf is not but if all fails Pale Ale .... there are so many kinds of beer now out here they have strawberry beer.

When I got married they had a Beer tasting event for my Bachlors party.

Hay,,,, " Mike ".... where is your wine question. Having lived in Northern California Wine is a walk away. and Having lived in Milwuakee if you did not drink beer you were in trouble. So I have learned to like both.
