Old Popup camper

Postby Jst83 » Thu Apr 19, 2007 7:40 pm

I've had this thought running through my mind for a while.
I remember back in the mid 70's my parents had a popup that I thought was very unique.
It only pop'd up on one end, the other was hinged. You could crawl in the camper and sit at the table while it was down because it was on the hinged in and there where windows around the table.
Does anyone remember these campers and what brand it might have been?

Just an old memory not that I plan on building anything like it.

Funny that you mention the Apache, we just saw one on the way to diner the other day. My wife instantly recognized it because her family had one up until she was in high school.

...at one time(60's), Apaches and Nimrods were about all there were...my Dad rented a large Nimrod 3 different summers when I was 12 to 14 and we made some month long trips, seeing the Smokies, Rockies and the central Eastern Seaboard...great trips...
