Thanks!
I left the threshold area open, I didnt run the aluminum angle across it,
I wanted to be able to sweep any dirt out without any obstruction, How do you guys weatherstrip the area at the bottom of the door? I was thinking of using a threshold similar to one in a household door,The kind with the rubber strip running across the center of an aluminum strip.
any other ideas? Thanks! Aaron
Wow, Airspeed... That's a really nice looking job. Very professional the way it fits so tight. Your threshhold with the rubber strip sounds like it would work... But, I doubt you will have any water coming in as it is with the outer molding like you have it? Seems like the water would have to go up hill to get past the outer trim? Maybe going down the road in a downpour it could a little. A bit of that peel 'n stick foam at the bottom inside the T-mold would prolly stop even that. Just thinkin out loud...

Thanks guys! I just bought a 48" chrome plated piano hinge at the hardware store and cut it to 32", Hopefully it wont rust for awhile,
I mortised the door to fit the hinge just in case I use a different hinge later I wont have to mess up the trim on the opening.
The trim around the opening turned out great but the trim on the door itself was a little more difficult so it doesn't look as good as I wanted, I will have to do a little sanding and polishing to get it right.
I got really lucky hanging the door and it fit perfect the first try, I used my calipers and mic to line up the hinge holes.
I will post more detailed pics of the door when I get all the embarrassing details fixed! Thanks again!! Aaron
Aaron, don't forget to ding the end knuckles on that pie-anny hinge or the pin may come out and leave your door someplace that you aren't ......

Keith, go to Home Depot or Lowes and look around the home door knobs and hinges area. Stanley makes a SS piano hinge that, I think, is 48". I think they also make a 24" or 30", too. I used a nickle-plated hinge on my TTT door and it still looks good 2 years later.
