Epoxy Garage Floor paint - Again?

OK I did a Search for Epoxy paint and epoxy & garage and found a few post in regards to people going to try out these products but I have not been able to find any results? So what was the Verdict? I'm not interested in the waterbased stuff or the 1-step products but the 2 part Solvent Based product

I know what the instructions say but has anyone tried it?

MY Scion Manual says I don't have a tow rating doesn't mean I can't tow. Just means Toyota doesnt want the liability exposure or to spend the Money to spec it especilly on a $14k rig aimed at "young" drivers.

Funny I have never seen someone Under 30 driving an XB.

Meanwhile, I have something in the basement that I've been meaning to test. I believe it's a 1 part epoxy paint. Not what you wanted, but I will test it just the same...

An speaking of what this discussion isn't about. I painted an old boat with Behr 1 part epoxy water soluble garage floor paint the other day... Light grey, two coats. It isn't glossy, but it self-leveled, it's high build and it sure is hard to scratch, It turned out much better than I expected and about 1/8th the cost of boat paint and primer. . There wasn't any mention of UV stablility, time will tell.

This is sorta related... I have used Benjamin Moore: Urethane Alkyd Gloss Enamel M22 in the past with great results. I painted the mansard roof on a Dairy Queen store a couple years ago, their red corporate color. It is still very glossy and holding up better than any paint I used before. So... Monday I am paint the mansard roof on a Huddle House restaurant in Georgia with nthe same stuff in Forrest Green. Just for giggles I am going to paint a utility trailer I have that is made from an old Chevy pickup bed... with the leftovers. I'm gonna try thinning it and spraying the trailer (we usually roll the roofs because of overspray problems).

Nice thing is this product is only about 40 bucks a gallon. It does not self-level all that well when rolled or brushed, although fine for a roof. I have tried adding a little Penatrol to it and it didn't help the leveling properties much. I do think spraying it will do very well... we'll see.

Just finished my garage floor last night. Used the two-part epoxy version from Quikrete. And I am VERY happy! This product went on very easily. If you can stir and roll on paint, you can do this! I elected to do 1 half of the garage floor at a time. This allowed me to move all my stuff (junk) to one side, paint that side, let it dry for two days, and then move everything to the other side and repeat. Looks like a million bucks. And speaking of million bucks! A local company wanted $1200 to do the same thing! I bought the product from Lowes, and paid somewhere around $135.
By the way, this is the second time Iv'e painted this same floor - the first time I didn't use any concrete cleaner/bonder, and the epoxy came up within a few years!!! The kit came with everything you need. And, Lowes can make one of about 15 colors with the same product. I chose one of their standard colors - Tan. WIth the flakes added, it looks great.
