Greetings from Ohio

Postby happycampers » Fri Apr 20, 2007 2:07 pm

Hello everyone!
My name is Jaime and my husband, David, and I will soon be building our first teardrop. This forum is sure to come in handy.
We had a pop-up camper but, after trading in our jeep grand cherokee for a pontiac vibe, it had to go. The vibe just can't pull that weight. After researching we found that the teardrop seems to be the best solution. We're still in the planning/design stage of this project and have already found some inspirational ideas here. Looking forward to more great advice!

ImageJaime and David. Happy you found our little playground.

Take a look at the Hall of Fame and the build pictures. You will never want a pop-up again.

Enjoy and please help with our picture drive. :pictures: Little drive to keep the bubble oil level and the mad ones---well ya know. ;)

Jaime and David,

Look at the Benroy plans in the menu, They are free and easily adaptable.

If your going to build, think light ~ balance & tongue weight for your Vibe~

BTW
All decisions start with your Vibe it seems ~
How much will your Vibe pull and handle for tongue weight?

The vibe will tow up to 1500lbs, and we're looking at the ultralight designs. This gives us less wiggle room when it comes to adding any extra weight but then again it also makes us have to be more creative!
If anyone else has ideas about towing with a small car we'd like to hear from you!

Welcome

Postby nawlinsteardrop » Tue May 01, 2007 5:05 am

We bought our teardrop in Canton at the Yoder Toter shop. What a pretty state. It was cold cold COLD COLD COLD COLD when we went. My wife asked how far we would drive that night. I told her till we found grits on the menu. Love the state but happy to defrost.....

LOL

Welcome and enjoy, everybody is so helpful.
