I used mill finished trim with black insert. Anyway, it bent to the curve very easily, no anneling necessary. It's a softer aluminum then the angle you get at HD.

DG, that stuff is "dead soft" and should not require annealing...take your time and it should go right around the curve..

Postby Airmad » Tue May 01, 2007 9:32 am

Hey Diverguy. It looks great. Where did you get it, what's it called, and how much does it cost? Thanks. Airmad

i got it from a local RV dealer. i got all he had about 22 ft. it was $2.00 a foot. it is called insert trim molding. it is an alum extrusion that has a slot where you can insert a vinal trim that covers your screws. i got the yellow pages out and called every RV dealer till i found oune that had some in stock
you can order it from http://all-rite.com/ . i just happen to find it local.
i tell you this stuff was the bomb. it bent so easy with not one single kink to straighten. i installed both sides in about 30 min. had to make a few cuts on it to match other stuff. but it was a breez and gives the camper and more finished look.

Your TD just keeps looking better. Time to build #2

Of those "INsert Moldings" on the ALL-RITE website which one did you use. Give the number if you can.
Thanks

i am not sure if what i got came from alrite or not. but my deminsions are 1 1/4 X 3/4. 3/4 on the side and 1 1/4 on top. the top has a 1'' slot for 1'' insert. i believe what i think most people use is the M24 or the M34. madjack probably knows for sure. i just browsed through their pile of stuff till i found what i thought would work.

Many thanks -- you've confirmed what I had tentatively identified.
Great look on the TD by the way.
