Ira Really Is Famous...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Mon May 07, 2007 11:19 pm

Some of you may know that I've been trying to get Ira to try his hand at dutch oven cooking... With no luck I might add.
Well... He posted a thread here sharing his great news on a small teardrop trailer sized smoker he's been working on...
http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=15752
Well... I just couldn't resist the oppotunity to show him a few pics of some meat I did in a dutch oven this past weekend during the 14th Dam Gathering.
I also posted a challenge to him, that I'd agree to get one of those little smokers, if he agreed to get a dutch oven...
Ira only responded with an inquiry as to how much the meat cost me...
Not wanting to derail his very nice thread on his smoker, I just let things lay...
Well, a little while ago... I'm on a dutch oven forum and one of the members tells me that he knows Ira from a barbeque forum.
It was quite the surprise to have someone on another forum I belong to tell me that he knows Ira...

You can thank some fat lady on PBS who did that recipe.

Or maybe it was Emeril--who's beginning to look like a fat lady himself.
Here we go again!
