:thumbsup: Great site, can't wait to pass it on to my dad. In my youth, he was an engineer at Rohr and designed some parts on 707 and 727 if I remember correctly. :applause:

And in the "I didn't know that" category comes something I recently learnt - the Smithsonian was founded from the will of a British chemist called Smithson. He felt he hadn't been treated well in his native England, so he vowed to give his money away somewhere else - and half a million dollars was a lot of money in the mid-1800s.

Andrew, my favorite author, Nevil Shute (Norway) left England for Australia around 1950 for he felt it was being run poorly and taxation was killing the entrepreneurial spirit... luckily, all that has changed/g/...
