Well I got the bottom of the hatch worked on. Had to eventually clamp, wedge and put boiling water on it to make it touch the ribs all over.

Resting and drying for the night. :worship:

Oops! I forgot to block for the tag light .

It is broken! I had one side disconected and forgot. When I went to use my leg to lift it---the screws popped out so I need to fix it. :oops:

The hatch looks great! It's a good feeling getting over that portion of the project. I also like the "gravity enhancing" clamps!!

Thanks Jim, and Hey they work great for curved areas. What I need is some 2x4's so I can clamp across the whole 6 feet+. Other wise I will end up with 400 pounds of sand. I think that is too much lifting and may break the hatch. :shock:

I also need about 15 more black (big) squeeze clamps. The green ones won't do the side ribs or the top 1x2. :worship:

The top of the hatch is now glued and screwed. I am sandbaggin again too. Boy does that work great.
