Well I got the bottom of the hatch worked on. Had to eventually clamp, wedge and put boiling water on it to make it touch the ribs all over.

 It is broken! I had one side disconected and forgot. When I went to use my leg to lift it---the screws popped out so I need to fix it.

Thanks

Good progress. I see you are using MaryK's sandbag clamps.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

The hatch looks great! It's a good feeling getting over that portion of the project. I also like the "gravity enhancing" clamps!!
You're coming along great! :applause:

Very nice Miriam! You're getting closer.
By big clamps do you mean more sand bags?

 Thanks Jim, and Hey they work great for curved areas. What I need is some 2x4's so I can clamp across the whole 6 feet+. Other wise I will end up with 400 pounds of sand. I think that is too much lifting and may break the hatch.

I also need about 15 more black (big) squeeze clamps. The green ones won't do the side ribs or the top 1x2. :worship:
