Sounded like a good idea since we cook a mean brisket. But, since we are traveling the whole week before Minden, I asked,
"So, where do we get the brisket?" Sounded simple enough,
"Go to the store and get one." Not so simple. Nobody up there keep briskets on hand.

I am going to talk to the butcher at the Food Lion in Minden on Monday about ordering a brisket for us to pick up on Friday, June 15. Who else wants a brisket?
Come on! Let's get a cook off going for Saturday!
The Plan
1. Everybody gets their brisket at the same time on Friday.
2. All the briskets come from the Minden Food Lion.
3. Cook it any way you want. Serve it any way you want.
4. We sit at a tasting table on Saturday at the potluck.
5. Everybody votes on the best brisket.
