If that's not enough :? I bet you're really frustrated counting down the days to Minden. :fb
I know I felt that way working with my husband trying to get our TD road ready for Shasta. The closer it got, the faster the days went.
Plus with varnish, there is dry and then there is dry. I takes time for finishes to get really hard, so if you accidently bump or scrap them, they don't take it very well. I've got some I have to go back and fix a little as I wanted everything prefinished before it got put in. I had to :MLAS when my husband was putting pieces that fit tight together in the TD the best he could as it wasn't easy and then I see a little scrape on my finish. It wouldn't help if I said anything as he was having enough problems.
So Miriam, I wish you the best of luck getting everything you need to get done before you leave for Minden. You are doing a great job.
Martha ;)

Oh yeah and I smoked my table saw.

Here is the dry fit of the inside facings. I wanted the spalted Maple inside but I was having sever sinus reactions to it so it will only be on the outside.

I am going to try to put these together with biscuits. :worship: If that doesn't work their getting glued and nailed.

I see you finally included a pic of the "extra foot" in this posting. Now we need to see the plan Miriam ;)

Looking good, by the way

 :rofl2: :surrender: You are missed my friend. Thanks for the laugh...

Martha--I appreciate your encouragement. My finish has some scratches but I seem to be the one making most of them. They will have to wait. Waiting for stuff to dry isn't easy for me. Which is why I need a bigger shop. Realllllyyyyyyy big shop.

Jim---Thank you and your sense of humor is greatly appreciated too.

Dave---what can I say---fun is, well maybe I am. Thank you. Isn't it nice when it fits.

 Thank you Mary K. Your good humor is appreciated too.

I finally plugged in the 120vac and it all works great. I don't know if my red fixtures will get in cause they want me to order 10 at a time and I only need 3 receptacles and 1 switch. If I ordered 10 of each it would be very expensive. So I put white in temporarily.

Had to plug in my work light though cause I haven't added 120vac lighting yet.

Congrats on the 120 Power! :thumbs up1:

I don't have any 120 power light fixtures either.... Just 12VDC....

Wonder if I should get a Lamp...cause its to late to wire one in

Thanks Mary K.

Two things: get a Converter and run your lights from there or get some wiremold (the plastic stuff from the box stores works.) 8)

My light is planned to be an undercounter type that goes at the top of the bulkhead. Everything 120vac is off the galley. I just haven't picked one out yet, cause I am totally wishy washy about it.

Miriam,

Have you checked HF for the red receptacles?? I know they carry GFCI in single quantities and cheaper than most places.

Nope! I only checked local. I can get Mike to order them but to get 10 just for the receptacles, plates and switches it is around $70. It was $24 just for the receptacles and plates. I just wanted red not decorator red.

I've seen unfinished wooden plates at the dollar store that you could finish any way you want. If you can't find them down there, let me know what you need and I could bring them with me to Minden.

Hey thanks Catrina and Kerry. Truthfully the face plates are only .35 cents ea. it is the receptacle and switches that are expensive. I did suggest plastic paint but Mike wasn't sure if that would cause a fire if it ever sparked. Maybe I can spray the light switch. I only need one!!!! The other stuff will only be $24 and I am sure to be able to sell the extra or use them on the Ultra lite. Or something. Maybe remodel my spare room. 8)
