In case Skoda isn't a name you recognize, it's a Czech car maker that was bought by VW and has become their 'value' brand in Yurp. That Fabia is Skoda's version of the VW Polo - so one down from a Golf.

I was brought up just as WWII rationing was ending in Britain (a full 10 years after the war ended) and our family treat was 'Hollywood Cake'* - a chocolate fridge cake made only from ingredients that had previously been rationed, so a particular pleasure to adults too. An important ingredient was Lyle's Golden (sugar) Syrup - so I noticed at once the less-than-a-second bit of this video where a guy is pouring Golden Syrup into the engine in place of engine oil!
