Award Winning Work 2007 By My Wife

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Suvi, I've talked with Heikki several times on the phone and now I know why he is such a happy person. You are a talented lady and he is a talented man. You make a Great couple.

The designs are very simple yet elegant and much like nature itself, can be appreciated by everyone. Good work. :applause:

Suvi,

Your jewelry is beautiful! :clapping hands: Wow!!! What a fun and rewarding profession that must be.

As far as what style or type of teardrops to make as jewelry, I think you should start with a TD profile like yours and Heikki's TD.

Best regards,

Mary with a K

Hi Suvi!

I really like the photos of your jewelry. I took a jewelry class in college and found out that I wasn't an artist. My love has always been Native American jewelry, mainly Hopi, Zuni, and Navajo.

We are so glad to have Heikki on our group, and I hope that you join us more often in the future too. Since you two are teardrop owners, that makes you an official member of the Lady Teardroppers.

I am always impressed by people who can communicate in more than one language. I have enought problems with English (or whatever it is we speak over here).

I look forward to seeing your teardrop designs!

But keep an eye on Heikki:

He keeps private messaging me about homosexual love.

I guess I have some competition! ;)

Again I have to remember not to be drinking coffee when reading Ira's replies...anyone have a way to get coffee with fat-free vanilla creamer (i'm on a diet) out of a key board.

I love the jewelry Suvi! Very nice.

Teardrop Jewelry

Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Mon Jun 04, 2007 4:29 pm

8) Having been a" jeweler" myself years ago, I'll chime in that you have some beauiful pieces. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I was at the Shasta Dam Gathering about 3 years ago and someone there was selling jewelry that had teardrop trailers (earrings/necklackes/tie tacs) I do not remember who, but the designs were very petite and look as though they may have been cast
(wax cast) in silver. If someone remembers please tag on to this reply.

Your work is beautiful! You have a very special gift. I love the idea of your making teardrop jewelry! I hope you follow through and we can see some drawings of what you would do.

Donna was at the IRG and at the 14th dam gathering. She has some of the jewelry. She gave me the address but he has not responded to her or me. I have misplaced the name and address but it will turn up.

Grant said no one had been in contact with that jewler in some time.

Hi Bledsoe looks to us as it has been (mold poured). Quality isnt the best .. but ok it depends on what people want and what they want to spend. And above all what they really like.. ;)

thanks bledsoe. I am still hoping that Suvi does some custom work and we have a chance to get some of it.
I really liked the necklace and earrings that Donna has. It is too bad that the man who made them has disappeared.
