Surgery Pic's

For some this may be interesting, for others it may be yucky. The human body is amazing and so are the surgeons who repair them, like my torn rotator cuff. Your always wanting pictures so here are just a few. :D Danny

Heikki, Jane took out the pain pump tube last night. It took a long and painful time to remove as there was about 8 inches of tubing in my shoulder. I'm feeling much better as each day passes. Jane being the R.N. she is says my shoulder isn't swollen and looks good. I hope to get outside again if the weather cooperates today. I've been sleeping in a reclining deck chair for comfort and hope to sleep in the TD tonight. We will go camping soon, :ilovecamp: Danny

Danny, Take it easy and don't try and do too much. You're lucky to have your own live in RN to nurse you back to health.

Danny,
Glad to hear all went well.
Take it easy for a spell...
I'm hoping that my shoulder stops hurting soon.
Been using my other arm as much as possible lately.

Danny don’t over do it and try and push your recovery, might make it hard to hoist a cold one.

Even though now would be a good time to beat you in arm wrestling you should take it easy. Heal well amigo.

Thanks for all the well wises :) I plan on doing nothing this Summer that would put my shoulder at risk for re-injury and that includes arm wrestling  . I bought 4 large tee shirts today @ J.C. Penney (I wear med) for 5 buck each so I don't strain my shoulder when dressing. They all say American Made with old trucks, bikes etc on the front and the tag Say's Made In Mexico from U.S.A. materials, go figure that one. :? We will be going to Yosemite and there won't be any hiking for fear of slipping on decomposed granite that's on the trails. We have a very comfortable TD and we can just enjoy the scenery that abounds in the valley. Thanks  Danny
P.S. one finger typing is the pits. I end up redoing some sentences because I FORGET TO turn off the caps lock, like now.

Hang in there Danny! I had a hip replacement some years ago.... took about a year before I more or less wasn't "thinking" about it all the time.... so it does take a while.

I was going to post some pictures of the hemorrhoidal "procedure" that I once had..... butt figured the interest level would be quite low!!

Smart thinking Alaskajack. You can put that all behind you now. ;) Do you carry around documation that it's your hip parts not something else when going through airport security? :) Danny

Danny,
Those are interesting pictures since they're not mine.
I hope you're feeling better soon. One armed, one handed isn't easy. Almost a year & 1/2 ago I dislocated my elbow, so I know the difficulty. No doubt you'll have to do some PT too, main thing is to get back to full use of shoulder so you can continue to do your beautiful wood working.
In the mean time take it easy.
Martha ;)
