Foot Well Table - Where can I find....

Postby benzu » Thu Jun 14, 2007 2:24 pm

I've started my build, :D finally. Almost done with the chasis. I'll have pics soon.

I'm currently looking ahead a bit and thinking about the foot well table. I want to use a double side pipe with threads on either side so one end can thread into the floor of the well and the other on the bottom of the table top. I've seen this method used in the forum so I know it's been done.

My question is where can I find the pipe and mounts? :worship:

Thanks,

Mike

I have seen those on PPL's website, I have made my own out of some 1" gas pipe (it's cheaper than galvanized) and used some pipe flanges for the table and floor mount. I had them put on just a few threads when I bought the pipe so I wouldnt have to spin the pipe so much when I wanted to mount or dismount the table. A pipe flange is just a round flat piece of steel with pipe threads in the center and four countersunk screw holes around the perimeter.
After it was painted it looked like it was meant to be.

By the way,any hardware store should be able to cut and thread pipe.

Here's a link to the go-rv network. You can select your state (of province in my case) and find stores nearby..

There's 2 in the Denver area.
You might find it cheaper somewhere else, eBay etc...but for those RV parts you can't track down anywhere else they should stock it.
