Well, I always eating chips or drinking a Pepsi while I roam the forum and read what everyone has to say. I just don't think about the germs. I leave them alone and they leave me alone.

I think some of you are not seeing the whole picture, here.

It's not so much what eating at your computer does to the keyboard, but what picking up you food after typing on your keyboard could lead to.

Keyboard = toilet seat. Hands on keyboard, hands on sandwhich, back to key board, back to sandwich, then some chips, and back to keyboard.

And why are toilets always the benchmark for germs anyway? Ok... some are kinda nasty... but still I'm always hearing about something that has more germs than a toilet. Like your toothbrush or McDonalds Playland, now keyboards. Geesh. At least we're not posting pictures of these germs... thats always gross (At least the cartoon ones anyway)

being an Orthodontic assistant for 28 years I wash my hands and don't even realize it. Even at home.
My fingers are the only ones on my keyboard so my germs don't bother me.
I have had to stop eating at the computer all of a sudden though. Our oldest daughter moved back home and brought a cat. Now after a couple of months "Oreo" has decided she loves to get in my lap and then lay across the keyboard. It is impossible to try to eat at the computer now.

So I guess that means I'm avoiding germs................Except for Oreo's of course.

I bet kitty litter boxes have more germs than a toilet too.
This is how it works
keyboard=kitty litter box + toilet seat - toothbrush :lol:

Seriously though, it is a good point about germs on keyboards. Though as I started thinking about what to write... I realized I was eating eggs while using my keyboard. At least I'm using a fork.

Well I've gotta big fat steak on the grill and when it's done I'm gonna eat it here at the keyboard, but I use utensils so I don't see any problemo...

3 day old spaghetti and 4 day old black beans and rice... a bit sloppy, but if I'm careful, it doesn't get on my keyboard or my shirt.... and all the germs stay on my hands and keyboard, as I use a fork..... on of those new things I found in the Sears catalog while sittin' in the 'out yonder'...
