For those who are looking for creative accessories for your teardrop.

I receiver hitch could be mounted to the rear, or side of the TD, and this quick umbrella could be attached. I found this at Costco.com

Thanks for the idea. I Googled and came up with this for those of us who have no Costco stores around:

It just occurred to me that Google is a noun and a verb!

Very clever!!

Maybe I'll add 3 2" receivers to the back (one in the center and one on each side) to accommodate something like this.

tonyj,

It just dawned on me... after looking at your post, the ensemble is just a regular patio umbrella, with a simple hitch mount. Anyone with a simple welder (or bolt together) could make one of these. I bought an umbrella, that the wife didn't like the color pattern after we got it, and so it sits in the garage.

I like the link that you googled. You don't have to buy the umbrella! When you look at just the actual product (your link), it is a simple construction. If you have the raw materials you could save some money, if you don't, then you may be spending more time looking for the materials than it cost to just buy it. Luckily, I have a local source for metals.

Oh yeah, that's like $15 in materials.

I emailed the link to a buddy who's a welder, will find out what he would charge.

I like it and when you take it out you have a place to put your teardrop hitch cover. :)

That thing looks like it was designed by a shrimp boat designer!

Hey thanks for sharing the pictures. I like those ideas very much - enough to make one up - but not until I get further with the TD build.

Thanks again
