Midland here. Makes sense - I'm a native of central PA, but like most folks around here, I have a touch of Pennsylvania Dutch too!

It said North-Eastern for me.

Well, I suppose it's true that I am a long way north and east of all of you guys.

Pegged me as a southern boy! Not too shabby. If 'Hillbilly' were an accent, I believe I have several family members in Eastern KY who'd be more than happy to take this test!

I don't think so Jack...I know some "folks" from Midland, TX, and they don't say Midland. It's "Mitlin, and Odesser".

One of my friends from out there was talking one day about going "down to the Ford house", and I asked them if that was where the Ford's live? :D

I don't think they even understood what I was trying to say!

The folks up here sound like Canadians and tell me I have a Southern accent. That's not possible, I'm from Nevada - huh, maybe it's the Southern Nevada accent.....

It nailed me, although I have been away from where I grew up for 50 years.

I've got a Northeastern accent, even though I've now spent a third of my life in southwestern Ohio, rather than Jersey (where I was born and raised).

See if you can translate this Brooklyn accent sentence before scrolling way down to see the answer:

"Jeet jet?"

Hey, I didn't invent this accent--I only inherited it.

Brooklyn translates to South Texas as I knew exactly what you asked.
And here the phase would be asked and answered,

"Jeet jet?"
"No, jew?"

And it seems this fair coastal Texas town owes its accent to midland, too. All I have to say is, "Accent? What accent? You shure tawk funny, though."
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.
