re: Plans

Sorry guys, but those plans won't be up for weeks. I've got too many little projects going on with the camper to get plans together. After I finish all of this, I'm going camping. :D

I just finished my interior. Again.

I didn't like the loose covers of the first set of seat cushions so I made some new ones today. I made them from cotton canvas and I really like how they turned out.

These are much more firm.

It takes about 20 seconds to drop the table and convert to the bed.

Here is a picture of the underside of the cushions. I bought some hardboard tonight and stapled the fabric to the board.

I found the FRP stuff that people have been talking about on the boards. It's a little less than $20 per sheet, and I'd need 3 sheets for the roof, and 2 sheets for the sides. The thing is, that stuff is heavy! I thought it would be much lighter than it was. I'm not sure if I should do it now

I got the table bracket installed again, and I'm also building a small step to help my little buddies get into the camper. :D

I'm waiting for my drip caps to come in, and as soon as I get them on I'm going for a quick camping trip.

I also managed to drive over my power cord plug and broke it. I'll need to get another one of those now. Geesh.

We've been getting a lot of afternoon showers in the Houston area, but it's not that bad here. I think it's the Texas Hill Country (central Texas) that's really getting hammered.

It makes for some really sticky/humid camper work though. Yuck.

No, I haven't fiberglassed my camper. I applied epoxy to sides/roof, but no fiberglass.

It sounds like you found the FRP sheets. That what I was looking at, but they don't have a UV stabilizer, so if your camper stays outside in the sun all the time then it will need to be painted.

You found that stuff at one of the big box stores right? They typically use that in restrooms in resturants, etc. Near as we can figure, they don't have any uv inhibitors in it, so a coat of paint over it might be a good plan. Buford says his panels are holding up well. He painted them red.

The panels are heavy. If you are watching your weight, you may want to pass on installing them.
