I've started my build!

Postby benzu » Wed Jun 20, 2007 8:18 am

Finally after months of planning I've started my build. :applause:  Well, actually my co-worker Jay as done most of the build so far. I have the insight & he has the welding skills. The chassis is almost done. It will be painted this coming Monday. It's 5'w x 10'-4''l and the trialer its self will be around 5' tall and it has 15'' x 7'' tires. It's got to be big enough for two 6'0'' plus adults and two kids. So we will have a queen bed and two to three bunks running wall to wall. I'm not sure what kind of tt it is, maybe one of you guys can tell me. I just created it from a couple of your designs. It would be nice to have a make on it. Well, heres some pics and I've put more in my album. I'd like to be done by the end of August.

You will notice in the back ground of some of my pictures that there are large signs. I work for a large sign company here in Denver. Most of my build will be here since I have the resources.

Mike, are you gonna use that material for skins that's been mentioned here before that only the signmakers can get? I forget what it is.
Here we go again!

Good job Mike! It's Shelly...we met at Pam's place last spring. I'm very interested to see your progress. How long do you think it'll take? You need to make it to the Last Gasp down at the Royal Gorge in September. I finished my TearScape One the end of April and have already been to 3 gatherings and put almost 5000 miles on it! So much fun!!! Can't wait for you and your family to join us!!

Nice to here from you Shelly, I've been trying to find you on this site with no such luck.

I hope to have it done by the end of August. So the gathering at the Royal Gorge is a good possiblity.

Ira, I'm not sure what it's called either, but I'm making a woody with a couple of inlays. With my computer skills and having a choice between two automated routers. It "should" be a snap. I'm also building my frame from 1'' square tube aluminum to save on weight but stronger.

Hey! Great Start. I'd race ya, but it looks like you'd kick my butt.
