Hey John!

I don't care what you call it 'cause it's COOL no matter what! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: The spirit of teardropping is alive and well in your trailer. I get the feeling it will join the ranks of the "must see" tears when you attend a gathering. I know that I won't miss taking a look. It better be ready for the ITG 2.0!!

Super neat, John!

Are you going to have a table area like the Lil' Diner? I am working on a "monster" too. It is 10' x7'. Single axle that is from an old trailer. It will sleep 4. I like the lines. How tall is it?

You are so kind! I'm hoping to just make it to a gathering and you are saying people will want to see it, I'm overjoyed you would put it in that light., Thank You!

As for size, the inside is 4'3" high and if you try to stand in the footwell the height is 5'3" (I'm 6' tall and my wife is 5'9") One nice thing about having the footwell is that you can kinda stand and put your pants on.

I'm putting the latch in the hatch now so some day there will be more pictures.

Hi John,

Maybe you have a much earlier thread on this but since I'm fairly new I haven't seen it before. It's really awesome!

Did you start out wanting a tandem or is that just what the trailer had to begin with? It sure gives it a great look! I've towed horses and boats a lot of miles and I've always done so with tandem trailers; this foray into the world of TDs and the HF 1800 trailer I bought with the single axle is new to me.

I can't wait to see this one at a northwest gathering somewhere along the line (I have to get mine built too! :lol: ).

Les,

I started out from the beginning building with the two axles for about the same reason you mentioned. All the boats and other trailers I have pulled lead me to the idea of using a tandem. Besides, RULES ARE MADE TOBE BROKEN! You'll see me at some gatherings, The quality of the people i'm running into in this teardrop community is pretty much like the people I want to hang with.

I'm going to use metal for the sides, Orginally the LongHaul name was a theme too and I was going to make it look like a truck trailer, but I'm shying away from that and looking at using some siding much like Grant uses for the Lil'Bear with some diamond plate for contrast. I have even thought of doing the sides as a woody, but that is too much upkeep, Afterall, I live in Oregon

You got any ideas for the siding, I'm open?
