Quiz - Where is your American accent from?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I am sure we could expand this out to turms that locals of areas say or have said that translate to total def. that others would not see unless they lived there or were raised in an area.

In NM I do not remember any but I lived in Wisconsin 66-79 and in highschool in Milwaukee.

some kids ended sentences with An..a Hey! .... don't you agree
and where is the bubbler ..... where is the drinking fountain.
a forktruck picks up a pallet but east of the Miss. it became a skid, even is you use a Pallet jack to move it with.

they had drinking fountains that bobled straight up and much of the population were scandinavian and German.

I am sure there are many of these in areas where fmailies staided in the same area like the north east.

Are there any books written about such?? Jargon.

It says midland for me also and thats about the only place I haven't lived! Born in Cal. moved to VA. at 8, moved to Fl. at 16, joined the navy and spent 1 year in Conn., 4 years in S.C., went to college in Tx. moved to Ga. for 15 years and now I'm back in Fl. And my parents (and most other relatives) are from Canada! I've always wanted to run into 1 of those people would can supposedly hear where you have lived in your voice and see how they do.
