A horrible news story

Can you believe this story about Great Adventure? A news story that happened yesterday and that I hadn't heard about.

Jesus Christ!!!

Does it get any worse than THIS!?

Jesus, and I was feeling sorry for those folks that got stuck hanging upside down awhile back.

I heard about this on Fox News and my heart sank... To think that here's an innocent 13 year old girl having so much fun in the Summer and this had to happen. I certainly pray that the good Lord will now watch over her and guide her through the rest of her life with great care and give her strength and courage.

Man, I'm not religious--but this is the kind of story that makes me want to pray for someone.

Here's a happier story, if you believe a person's life is worth more than a bear's:

Marine kills a bear with a stick. Now that's a story, you just don't mess around with Marines!

My kids rode that ride in Orlando while I watched. I rode everything else with them , but I just cannot handle dropping....God I'm glad they did not get hurt!!! Where in the heck were her feet? to get cut off??

I saw the story about they guy and the bear on GMA this morning. The son who is about 6 first threw a pot at the bear when it got into their ice chest. The father reacted to protect his sons! He's a hero, I'd say!

That happened just up the road from here (I live in Lexington, KY). The news reports around here are saying that a cable snapped and severed her feet off just above the ankle. Apparently it was something like a high tension cable, or something to that effect. She was at the hospital in Louisville today and they are trying to reattach her feet. They have ended up shutting the same ride down at six or seven different parks since the incident to inspect them for safety. All I can say is that you won't find me on one of those anytime soon.

I want to share something with you: The three little sentences that will get you through life. Number 1: Cover for me. Number 2: Oh, good idea, Boss! Number 3: It was like that when I got here.

Expressing one's faith is not "pushing" it. We still have the right in America to express our religious beliefs (or non-beliefs). Let freedom ring!

...Froggy, this is not knock upon you......
we all have the freedom to express our views...religious or not, however, there was no debate going on and in most polite society, such disagreements would not necessarily be expressed, especially since...as I stated...no debate on religion was taking place...let's keep it thataway.........

p.s. questions about faith should be referred to your minister, chaplin or drinkin' buddies.................MJ

I have a lot of trouble swallowing this God fantasy and here is a classic example of why

I don't think you wanted to keep this civil as soon as you said the above. Everyone is entitled to there opinion...not yours....say what you want, but I can't stand it when people have to rip on other people faith or non-faith just because you don't agree. I don't go to church...I will pray for people...do I think it helps....maybe...maybe not...does it hurt anyone....definitely NOT! Do I think there is a god...heaven...it would be nice if there was...but I am not banking on it....but then again I live by the Golden Rule and if there is a heaven I should be safe.

Besides like Madjack said "no debate on religion was taking place..." mostly just wishing a 13 year old girl good thoughts....and if Ira was about ready to pray for someone it has to be bad.

Sorry everyone...I don't get to worked up often as most of you know, but this pushed the wrong button. Madjack feel free to delete if you want.

Elmo, I truly hate to delete anything(really) so to everyone else...if we can just leave the religious debate out of future postings in this thread, all the admins would be VERY happy...if not, there is always the delete button!!!!!!!!!!!!!
