Steve:

Been quietly following your build. Your new "Tiny Trailer" looks so professional. You have a real "keeper".

Steve the aluminum around the bottom definitely finishes it. Just needs some around the table and a black leg maybe.

Good job!

I have been following this thread for a while now. I am amazed by your innovation. I will be building your trailer in the near future but no closet or counter instead i will have a bunk system up front with the top bunk being a lay down on some kind of a hinge system. With the top bunk out of the way the bottom bunk will serve as a small couch during the day. I hope you dont mind i borrow some ideas. When i first started this quest i could not decide what i wanted. You have solved that. Thanks and happy camping.
Do you ever come up near dfw? I would like to see this in person. :worship:

bobhenry - That's actually not a bad idea. I'd probably try it if I didn't have to tape off all of those squares. ;)

larryl - Hello. The trim really helped with the looks in my opinion. I'm very happy with it, and this is a project that anyone can do.

HMK - There are still a lot of little things to do on the camper, but it has actually turned out better than I thought I could do. It will continue to change as I figure what works and what doesn't, but after 6 months and a lot of camping, I think I have it just about dialed in.

Miriam C. - I like how the aluminum cleaned up the edges too. The table already has an aluminum edge, it's just not very visible in that photo. As for your suggestion about the black table leg, I like that idea! I just painted my thermoelectric cooler black, so I'll go paint that table leg black too.

NoNeck - That makes me feel great that I've given you some ideas on your own camper. I don't mind you using any of my ideas - I'm glad that so many have taken interest in my little camper. As for DFW, I go up that way every once in awhile. My dad is Arlington and I'm planning a visit to see him soon. I'll try to post in my build pages when I'm leaving and where I'm going. Sometimes I forget to remind people who have asked to see it.

Here is a picture of what I see when I open the door to the camper. I always hate taking pictures with the flash on the camera as it makes everything look so washed out and greenish.

I painted my thermoeletric cooler black to match the interior better. It was blue and it really stuck out. I used the Krylon Fusion plastic paint which seems to work really well. A lot of people give those coolers a bad rap, but I've had nothing but good luck with mine. I keep the AC on in the camper because they'll get the items in the cooler up to 40 degrees cooler than the ambient temperature. I've had ice in my softdrinks before!

So the cooler sits on three storage areas (they're trimmed with plastic edge trim and plastic mesh behind them). I usually keep all of my food in those three holes. The 4 storage holes above the bed is where my camping buddies and I keep our clothes. There is storage under the seats/bed and is accessible from the front/sides as it's just fabric covering those areas. I keep my party lights, chairs, etc under those.

Looks nice. Now you don't even need a tablecloth. Not that any of us guys do, but even the women folk would be happy with that.

Thanks guys. I'm working on hiding wires and starting on the bathroom tonight. Most boring epoxy work. :(

Here's the step I built for the camper.

Steve, You may have already mentioned this somewhere in your post, but I haven't seen it. Where did you get your drip caps for the windows and doors? I like them. Scott.

I ordered them from go-rv.com.

Here's the link I used: http://www.go-rv.com/coast/do/catalog/page?dealerId=434&pageNum=209

If you go to the front page you can input your state and then choose the closest dealer to you - I actually had mine shipped to me.

They're really cheap, and I think they look nice. They are very thin though.
