I know it's not a TD or a TTT but some might think it's cool. I picked up a 1969 Cox Camper recently. It's an old Popup in the most basic definition. It's basically a box with a fold out tent on it. The guy who sold it to me was reluctant to tell me what year it was because he thought it was too old. Little did he know, the older, the better. He could have actually gotten more outta it. ;) The canvas is about 2 or 3 years old. Only down side is that the guy I bought it from was a hunter so he camo'd the camper. So far, my son and I have had it out once and it was fairly nice. The bunk ends flip out instead of slide out like they do in the modern Popups. Here's some pix.

 Looks like you picked up a bargain. The interior looks pretty good, but the canvas looks brand new.

Great Catch !!!! And it is cool. 8)

What a great find!!! The canvas appears premium!! It wouldn't take much to tend to the camo paint job and paint it up to match your tow vehicle. I had a '70 Monkey Wards that didn't have as nice of interior like yours and used it for years, just about the same interior layout. Just go have some fun!!! Doug

I had a '60 Hawkeye and a '62 Croft... Both great pop-ups... gave $300 each for them over 20 years ago.... Camped in them for 20 years, gave them away when it was going to cost about $500 for a new canvas for each of them.... Your '69 looks in really good shape and the canvas looks great! Enjoy it!!!

These design type of campers are now being built by Livin Lite. Their newest design is a slide-in for pickup beds and it weighs under 450#s. They are aluminum throughout, and the canvas is marine grade. You can actually take a hose to it all and let it out to dry without a problem. There is a dealer on Ebay selling the slide-in near $2700. I was looking/debating about a slide in on a utility trailer till I found the ambulance box I have now.

I know of someone else who picked up something similar to these camper designs for $100.

Talk about a tent on wheels.

I've seen some cool pop up trailers but seeing them being set up gives me the willies. I think the newer ones are much easier though. I notice my nieghbor always setting his up in his driveway, I don't know if he is cleaning it or having to let the canvas dry so it doesn't mildew?
