I'm so proud--my first deleted thread!

Postby Ira » Sun Jul 01, 2007 8:04 am

I just wanted to say that I started that thread with 100% good intentions. A lot of those words really touched me.

But me being me, I just had to get goofy at the end in response to fellow posters who were so shocked by my conversion.

I didn't set it up that way, I didn't intend to go in that directon at all--I swear--it just happened.

I promise to never mention God again, as long as no one else here does either.

Is it a deal?
Here we go again!

Sorry to lose anyone--but I guess it was the guy who PM'd me with the subject field saying "Moron."

Weird thing is, we were getting to understand and respect each other's differences!

He PM'd me, "I hope that in the end, God gets his way with you!"

Sorry, but does that kind of talk sound right compared to what I MYSELF said? I think he was referring to hell, which Jews don't believe in.

And I'm sorry to seem so redundant--and I'm not saying this to be antagonistic--but is seems that only certain beliefs "matter" to many in this country.

Ira, personally, I feel that persons reaction, was overboard...it was kinda like YOU tuning in to Ann Coulters show, knowing she was goann get ya PO'D and then being upset because she did...don't take this comment as an approval but rather just a comment on that persons reaction...it is all just another example of why politics and religion make such difficult subject maters to post about....

Ira, I think the person was hoping you find what your post proclaimed. Respecting other peoples differences doesn't usually include making fun of them. Nor does it mean insulting their beliefs or lack thereof.

All --- please keep this thread civil so I don't need to play censor today.
