Mary...don't sweat the pattern for the fender trim...I'd be willing to bet that a tracing of the outer edge will work for what you want...Good Job!!! and a great finish as shown in the reflection on the hatch!!!  Doug

Dave, I got those light off ebay store ...hum...and I can not find the store there I bought them from. But if you do a search on ebay for round led or trailer lights you will find hundereds.

Mary K.,

Your fenders look great. I really like the natural wood finish. Looks like something a custom woodshop would turn out. Great job !!!!!

I can't wait to see it at LCG2. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Mary,

You certainly have the knack! Is my memory correct that you didn't have any woodworking experience when you started? You are doing a stunning job! :applause:  :applause:

Mary, Those fenders look awesome. But if it were me, I'd cut this board a little shorter.

G O R G E O U S ! ! !

Somewhat off the topic but what finish did you use?

For the rear bumper - the idea we're thinking of is a birch 4" x 4". The taillights wound be mounted into a recessed cavity kind of like "frenched" taillights.

This would be mounted to a piece of "L" iron I found in my buddies stack of steel (it's like angle iron but the long side is 3 5/8" and the short side is 2 1/4"). He even suggested a bumper small piston set he has off of a Mitsubishi car of some type.

Mike, thank ya!

Linda, Get out there and build you own TD. What is one more TD when you have 3 already.

Joanne, Thanks Sista!! and, yes it is my first woodworking project.   It's beginners luck I tell ya. :D

Bledso3, You mean the one on the sidwall?? Why should I cut that shorter? I thought it looked good. :R

Actually, I am waiting to trim it back when I figure out what I will be doing to cover the trailer on the back.

SaGR, That is Minwax, Spar Urethaine finish with no stain on birch. The trim is just select pine and will be stained a dark red mahogany color.

Your rear bumber Idea is a good one. I'm thinking about a bumber too.

Kristi, Thank you too Lady!! When are you going to have an update on your build???

Thanks again everyone. I will have an update and pictures tonight!! So stay tuned.
