Hey, did you just add that? I checked your site and didn't see any of the "Lodge" which is why I asked.

Steve,

Thanks for sharing the Lodge build. The Longhaul is about the same length, but not as wide. You are a master of keeping the "panelness" of the plywood from distracting from the design.

How's it tow? and what you pulling it with?

Again, thanks for sharing and inspiring all off us. And after you get to use it, Let us know your opinions of the diffferences between normal sized tears and the Lodge sized tear,

Take care.

You're welcome! And thanks for the nice comment! The technique came about as a way to make large panels without that "look".

How's it tow? and what you pulling it with?

We use my wife's '00 Dodge Durango. tows great! I think it's about the same weight as the 'Diner, at least it tows like it! I'll have to weigh it.

Again, thanks for sharing and inspiring all off us. And after you get to use it, Let us know your opinions of the diffferences between normal sized tears and the Lodge sized tear,

We've been out twice so-far. We like the room and the ability to hide out from the weather and bugs. Phyll likes the pottie, and room to move around at night. She suffers from chronic pain from arthritis, and moving helps.
We had some of the ladies in the camper for a craft demo, during the ADK Tear-uP. Plenty of room for guests too!
I think that the galley will be more than large enough! When we're both in the kitchen, we have a turf war! This one is 78" wide!

:envious: Great, like clamp envy wasn't bad enough now I have slider envy. :) Just beautiful Steve. By the way what size struts are you using (weight it will hold)?

Thanks for sharing the build with us!

Steve,

I have been following along on your build and am still at a loss for words. It's inspiring to see a true craftsman (or should I say artist?) at work. There are a handfull of builders on this list who have taken it to the next level and you are certainly a member of that elite club! I just stand in awe of you guys.

Thank you for sharing your pictures, techniques and advice with us. I learn something new every time I visit your website or read one of your threads.

Steve, I've been following your build as well. Let me say I hate you for several reasons,
1) You're clear across the country
2/ Your quality is top notch
3) I' can't afford your work.

We're headed out your way next year, for The Redwoods Gathering!
Will you be there?
2/ Your quality is top notch

Thanks! Just don't look too closely!
3) I' can't afford your work.

Sure you can! I know you're a good builder, just copy!!

I've been hated for lesser reasons!! 8) 8)

They're accuride sliders, rated at #150 for the stove/sink pull-outs. They're 28" long. I realized after I received them, that I had to make the pull-out shorter, to avoid a conduit. The pull-out is 26",thus, a 2" over-extension. Got them through Austin hardware. The others are #100 rated, got them at Home Depot.
