SOS T Curve Handle Search - Andrew? Anyone

Postby Classic Finn » Wed Jul 11, 2007 1:15 pm

Ive been looking around for the T Curve handles and locks for the Galley Hatch..

Teardrop parts website states that they are imported from England..

Now I sure would like to know from where in England they come from or the name of the company...

I cant find any here so far..  Ok I know - I can order from the States from Grant if all else fails...

Thought Id try this side of the Atlantic 1st...

Have you looked at garage door T-handles? Some look and work just like the RV ones, they just have a longer square shaft.

try using Austin Mini Mk1 boot handles, these were fitted to most BMC vehicles late 50s and early 60s, Try www.minispares.com part number 14A7194 £15.69 ea inc 2 keys plus postage, may suit your needs, I`m planning on using one. The catch is bought separately but a normal house door catch can possibly be used
If evvr tha dus owt fr nowt, allus do it fr thissen

Europa Spares supply a lot of parts for kit cars (of which we have plenty 'retro' types - heck, we have something like half of all the kit car makes in the world here!): http://www.europaspares.com

Go to 'online shopping' then 'brightwork and 'exterior handles' - you have to use IE as it doesn't show the menus in Firefox. If you can see this tiny photo, you'll see it's a larger and more curved handle than the Mini one:

Image

But maybe this one is better:

Image

It's from a supplier of classic car parts - it's off a Jaguar boot (trunk) and is 135mm wide - nice. They'll have no problem sending it to Finland, but it might cost a bit (€6-12). http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk
