...last Tuesday went to the Bayou Pierre Alligator Park...

...we took our 8yr old granddaughter...she hadda blast....

...there were little gators and medium gators and big ol' gators...

...we saw gators in the hundred and was informed they had over a thousand gators in the surrounding marsh as part of their commercial farming operation...it was truly fun...and informative...in addition to the 'gators, they had a bunch of pigmy goats, a snake house, a turtle house, a bird house and a raccon habitat...fun for all, no doubt about it...and it is about an hour south Lake Bistineau...

...after 3 hours it was time to head on home....

...hope you enjoyed it as much as we did...

:applause: Thanks Jack! That looks like fun. My parents wouldn't let us have a little gator...imagine that  Might make a great side trip, especially for those who have never been South.

That's kind of what I was wondering. I see them quite a bit around here, but I don't want to be that close to them.

Hey Jack!

That's really interesting! Being a desert rat, it's all quite foreign to me. We don't have the green foliage everywhere, water, or gaters out here. We have lots of rocks though. Does that count? Places like that are one of the reasons I want to travel more in my tear. There is so much to see in this country of our, I would love to visit more neat places.

Who are the cute little girls? It looks like they are having a great time.

Thanks for sharing!

P.S...I too, love roadside attractions...from the "THING" in Az to mermaids in Fl, they are all neat and I hope all our travellers out there stop in to support any attractions they pass by....MJ

Joann, you really have to try to make it out one time. To you, some parts of Capitol Reef National Park looked like "piles of dirt" to us it was different and beautiful. Mel and I grew up in FL so gators, cypress trees, Spanish moss, and swamps just look like big mud puddles to us. You may find it interesting.

Isn't that true?! It's all about what you get used to and what you see every day. I would love to take a swing through the south and really get to see what it's all about. Guess this means I really will have to get an air conditioner hooked up!

There's the beginnings of a great thread...

Where to go in your T@B or T or TTT when you want to catch all the highlights...
