Trying NOT To Panic, But My Wall Is Out Of Square

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Thanks a bunch, Guys. I only have two more roof spars to install and then I begin the inside cabinets. The wall is holding itself inline still. I reckon loosing up the floor and pounding on it with the mallet must have done wonders..

MaryK-Thanks for your guidence. Your build is looking great!!!!!! I am no longer worried about the wall. It has actually self-corrected since I pounded and shifted the whole teardrop on the trailer. It is almost less than a 1/16" off. It's all good now!

I am pretty glad I didn't give up. I have learned a lot about trailer building from this experience...even from my mistakes. I wouldn't hesitate to build another provided I get this one finished. My wife said she probably won't like sleeping in such a confined space so I may have an excuse to try to build a larger trailer like a Widget, Midget, or something like that. Yep, the teardrop building bug is strong.

I had somewhat of the same problem... it wasn't that it was out of square...but that the plywood was "flexing"; I clamped the walls into square, added the trusses or spars or whatever you want to call them, sheeted the roof and released the clamps and all was fine....

FYI: You're allowed up to 3/16" out of square on EVERYTHING... .... inserted to protect from the "i know its coming" comments about my frame...

Good luck on your build... looking great.

Keith,

You're tear looked great though!!!! Have you sold it yet??? What type are you going to build next?

So far the wall is holding in line so i am feeling pretty confident about finishing up the build.
