Okay, let me try to explain. Commonly things (primarily valves) that are powered (air, hydraulic or electric) are designed to fail in one position (open) or the other (closed) so you can predict behavior and for safety reasons . If your eyelids fail open that means that they are open, whether you are awake or not however most people wake up with eyes open

It really means that for some reason I woke up and didn't go right back to sleep so I got up :lol:

That may be the single most insulting thing I've ever been called. I was submarine qualified and I was a missile mechanic but the bane of my existence as a missile mechanic were engi@#ers. Instead of using the K.I.S.S. principle most (government) engine@#rs make things as complicated as possible to "Protect their phony-baloney jobs" to quote Mel Brooks

BobG unfortunately I understand what you mean.
Many mornings my eyes fail open, but again unfortunately
my brain fails closed. It can be a problem with basic functions. :lol:

90 degrees and about 300 points of humidity. worked on the tear anyway, just prespired all over it. Engineers, don't they drive the train?

So basically the eyes opened but failed to do what was intended

I meant you would be singing it in your head. I usualy have an anoying song playing in my head.. like "Pop goes the weasle" or whatever the Ice Cream Truck is playing through the neighborhood all day. Thursday it was the "Maccaraina" or however you spell it. It is most iritating :fb
