DON'T LIKE THE WAY THE SIDE LOOKS WITH THE HATCH OPEN....

So I decided to add a 1/2" strip at the back....only got a 1/4" on, have to put one more strip on it ...

I think it looks better... How about you????

 Great job John. That is really looking sweet. And you made a good decision on that 1/2" strip. I put my strip on my hatch like you did and felt the same way, but I ripped mine off and put it all on the side of the td and the hatch closes on top of it.

John....you have really done the Slumbercoach profile justice!!!! Your attention to detail in the spacing of the screw holes is really great...seems like a minor thing, but I think it all adds to the appearance, is your plan to do the plugs in a contrasting wood?....great job on this one, good wood grain...ya gotta be happy with that!!!! and to think, you are the keeper of the worst shop for 2006!!! ;) Doug

Doug, the spacing was conceived by the spacing of the 2x6's on my picnic table. The plugs are going to be the same wood, i have a ton of scrap laying around. As for the keeper of the worst shop 2006, I'll probably win 2007 as well......

I like the look of wood, and am jealous of anyone who can pull off the look. There is a reason I plan on painting, tear number 2 will be painted as well. John you are building a beautiful trailer there.

Hey John,
I'm not sure what it weighs, but I can lift the tongue with one hand and push it around.
 I just wish it would stop raining on the days that I can work on it. It just sits there mocking me.
