I was visiting my local hardwoods dealer (Crosscut Hardwoods in Portland) to ask about high quality plywoods for trailers (they house boatbuilders and there are some similarities). One product they recommended is Aquatech marine plywood, which is a very nice looking product. $46 for 1/4" 4x8 sheets. CC feels that is the equivalent of fir marine plywood for considerably less money. There are higher grades of marine plywood, but this one struck me as a good value, for those looking for a high quality appearance grade plywood.
