Allright!

Thank you for maintaining such a great site. My fiance and I are getting married later this month and guess what my Dad's building us...

A BENROY!!! WHOOHOO!

I found out about SailorSams through the electrical forum* as I was looking for some LED interior recessed ceiling lights. Placed the order a few minutes ago for their Nova 9777 LED Lights in Matte Silver. They consume 1 watt each. I'll let the board know how they look (and work) once we get them.

He designed a special cubby for our dog (at the foot of the bed) complete with a dog door in the same style as the main door. Wow Dad!

p.s. I can't find the link for 'sources' either

Good for you, a teardrop wedding gift. After all that's what Dad's are for, right? Hope he gets it built quickly and you can extend your honeymoon in the Benroy. If ol' Dad has any questions, be sure to ask, since these helpful members are full of all kinds of information. Congratulations on your committment to share you life with the one you love and also for having a Pop who is willing to devote so much time building such a one-of-a-kind gift for his son and new daughter in law.

What a great welcome! Question about propane fridges too...

Postby giant_sherpa » Tue Aug 07, 2007 9:38 pm

Hey there Auntie and Uncle M!!!

I believe it was one of your posts that put me on to SailorSam's for the LED interior recessed ceiling lights...thanks!!!

What a greeeat welcome from all four of you

halfdome, danny; thank you so much for the link!--yes, that is the site I used for my LED's--but actually, another member mentioned an additional link to all different types of sources for building materials, et cetera...that's what I haven't yet found.

:? Now here's my question. My Dad ordered a Norcold N300. It is a two-way (propane/110 volt) 2.7 cubic foot fridge. I looked over what I could find re: folks using propane in their teardrops and there doesn't seem to be much. Is there a way to make this work? My Dad already has the unit...any ideas much appreciated. Do I need to build a sealed fridgebox AND mount the unit to the side of the tear (for ventilation) to use propane?

By the way--pictures of all stages of development are on the way--but I won't see him until Saturday to get them.

;)
