The walls are up and the bulkheads installed - progress

Postby LittleCritter » Sat Aug 11, 2007 11:57 pm

Just sharing the progress thus far. With the warm weather it gets rather stuffy working inside the TD.

Image
Got the windows installed. Very happy with them. (These are windows ordered from Lil' Bear Tagalongs - Thanks Grant)

Image
The walls are up, glued, and screwed. This was a happy moment. Seems like it took me way longer than I had planned.

Image
Here the front bulkhead is installed (and rear bottom galley and counter). I used the Kreg pocket jig extensively - wow it that slick!

This view is from the back of the trailer looking forward. The headliner goes in next.

I put the bulkheads in first to stablize the walls, get the spars in, and then put the headliner in.

L.C., That's looks really good. It's the first big step when you get to the walls up. Feels good huh?

That just looks absolutely great!!! I really like the hinges you used on the front bulkhead...are those the vintage looking ones with the little lines cast in them? Doug

It is such a wonderful feeling getting the walls up.
But you are wise to do the finishing work as you go. So much easier in the end.
Your front cabinets look great.
Well done. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Woohoo! You're doing a great job! It's a blast getting the walls up, isn't it?! Now all you need is a roof and a hatch and you'll be camping!

Yup John...but I have no life and spend a lot of time searching for hardware for future builds. I just recognized the shape and some of the features and knew where they came from...Doug

Hey Girl! That looks just wonderful.  It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL trailer. Your cabinetry is just outstanding. You ladies keep raising the bar. I'm going to have to rethink whether I want to start a second trailer....

Great job!

Your build is looking great!

I also like the back yard in the background--looks like a wonderful view.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.
