A month ago, I Installed my head liner witch keep breaking. Today i was working on my door and enjoying a cold refreshment. When I noticed my luan said 5.2mm . Being born in PENN. my Japaness is a little rusty. So I got my slide rule, cal. and tape and discovered i used the the wrong luan paneling . When I put outside skin on. I,ll be sure to take a tape to the store. What wrong 1/8 ,1/4 3/8 worked for 100,s of years. So check want you buy or take course in Japaness math. :D

I like 1/8" plywood for headliners... which of course is 1/32 undersize.

5.2mm luan is too thick, as you already found out.

Mike...
