Since you are the guest in the midwest, ( I'm a poet ),
Miriam & I think you should decide on the restaurant. We
both like all kinds of food, so as long as it's not too dressy,
as I am leaving right after work, we are good to go. Just let
us know.

Glad your trip was safe and uneventful, and look forward to
meeting you tomorrow night.

See you about 7:00.

Sorry I didn't get back online earlier, it's nearly midnight and this is the first chance I've had to check the board. I guess if I gotta make the call, let's go with Bass Pro Shop, I wanna check the place out anyway. Besides, that buffalo burger sounds good. 8)

Thanks Kevin good call.
That way we can meet and have a meal and visit and mingle in the camping supplies area.
It should have enough space for us all to set in one area. So we could talk and visit. It also sounds like most live close to the Bass Pro Shop area.

Thanks Kevin

Bass Pro Shop it is.

That buffalo burger does sound good.

Miriam & I will "try" to leave here by 4:30 pm, so we should be at the Bass Pro Shop by 6:30 at the latest. All of this assumes there is no major delays on I-44.

See you this evening.

Kevin,

Another thought. Bass Pro Shop, if it's like the one in Springfield, MO, is a very large place, so how about designating a meeting place.

Say everyone that wants to come, meet outside the restaurant in the BPS between 6:30 and 7. If you arrive after 7, then you just have to come in the restaurant and find us. ( And we will all have a red carnation in our lapel.)

Anyway if that is ok with everyone, just post a 10-4 on here today , so we can figure out who to be on the lookout for.

If anyone has a better idea, let us know. We are open for suggestions.

We just don't want to drive for almost two hours, get there hungry, and then not be able to find anyone from the group. ( hum.... maybe the red carnation thing wasn't such a bad idea. )

 It is too hot to wander anywhere. BPS is a good place to get lost if it is like ours.

See ya

The one evening South Central / Southwest Cailfornia get together was a success. Several of us wore Teardrop tee shirts. The Bimini bread was great. Buffalo Burgers were great, Hamburgers were great, and Miriam's fish was great! We got in lots of good visiting also we enjoyed phone calls from Iron Man in California, and Pat Hopkins in Arkansas. To Kevin and Mirriam, Mike, Brandon and T-Town Tear, it was sure fun having supper together. Thanks to the folks who joined us by phone. This is a new style of teardrop gathering without the teardrops. We need to do this again!

See you all later

I sure wish I could have gotten there sooner. :(

Next time I'll tell the boss I need a day off for more important things. :R

Hopefully before the year is up I'll manage to get to a gathering with tear in tow, so I can spend more time getting to know everyone a litte better.

Till next time gang!!

See ya in the morning.

Ya know, with or without their trailers, teardroppers are just the greatest people around.
I've got to thank Mike and Miriam for taking the time to make the 4 hour round trip to join us all at BPS for dinner tonight, it was great getting to meet you both, along with Phil & Donna and Jody. Talking to Pat on the phone was cool too, sorry you couldn't make it. The food was great, the location was awesome, (gotta go spend more time there tomorrow). However, the best part was getting to meet up with and make new friends.
We'll all have to get together again the next time I get down this way...

To all,

Kevin, Brandon, Phil, Donna, and Jody, it was nice meeting all of you last night. :applause: It's nice to get together with people that you talk to on the computer and put a face with a name.

We had a good trip, other than becoming momentarily disoriented
( lost ), in Tulsa. Someone forgot to mention that Tulsa has 3 names or road numbers for every street. I was acting as navigator and being male, did not want to stop and ask directions. Not that this ever came up in the conversation.

Dean, I would seriously doubt if we ever get to IRG2, just based on time I would have to take off to work to get there, so you all will have to come this direction if we are ever going to meet. But it was nice getting to speak with you on the phone.

Pat, sorry you couldn't make it, you missed a really good meal. Julie, sorry you were sick, because the company was great and a good time was had by all. :(

Everone's next goal is to figure out how to make Bimini bread in a D.O.
I don't know how they made it, or if I was just really hungry, but that was the best bread I have eaten in a long time.

Now Kevin, what is this about chocolate chip cookies? Hummmmm?

Well Kevin I hope you have a safe trip home and I will be talking to you on the forum in the future.
