Hey CL!

Build or buy, we are just glad you joined us! It's really neat that you have already been to a gathering. It's a great way to get to know folks better than you can on the list alone.

Of course now that you are here, where are the photos of your "Cajun Casa"? You know that we love those pictures!

Joanne

CAJUN LADY wrote:I too am a teardrop owner, but not builder. I WISH I would/could have built the one I bought because I would have: 1-done a better job; 2-put cabinets in the galley; 3-put in 12v. But, I do love her ("Cajun Casa") and have personalized it for my comfort.

I recently attended the Ft. Clinch gathering and met so many great ladies and guys. One very nice couple, Lynn and Paul, have a really cool TTT called the Inkwell. They are doing a great job on it and it has so much room inside and at the same time, very cozy. I enjoyed being their camping neighbor. Wish it hadn't rained the first 2 days, but it was still fun.

I too enjoy all the ideas from this forum. I have purchased a couple of items thanks to some of the posts and have also steered clear of some because of many helpful comments.

I love seeing all the photos of decorating ideas and your great "lady handiwork" on your TD's. I applaud all of you :applause: Power to the ladies Teardroppers!

Hello, I'm new to the group! Have an '03 VW new beetle convt (auto trans) and have the 'bug' for a teardrop. I've been looking at the Little Guy also the T@B but that might be too big. (Maybe something in between? but I'd like a sink, don't know much about it all though) I've posted in other threads, and there a lot of helpful folks out there! Any suggestions from fellow ladies is greatly appreciated! (price is definitley a consideration).
Thanks,
Betty

Hi, Betty...weight is a consideration for me, too. But there are several types of tears out there, including the Little Guy, the Alite folding TT (a-frame) and a couple models of Yoder Toter, as well as some of the other builders whose rig comes in under 700 lbs.

As for red, have you tried Walmart and Target? Seems they are just full of red, white, black, aqua and purple right now--all great colors, but unfortunately, I'm shooting for those late 70s/early 80s harvest gold/avocado green/burnt orange and dark brown shades. I've been having a lot of luck on EBay and garage sale-ing...in fact, I picked these up this morning:

along with these:

I already have some other mugs and bowls that match these colors, so now I have plates and cups for 4 that can 'live' in the camper.

Thanks, btw to all who had sleeping suggestions. I like the idea of drawers under the bed; will probably use a bedroll on top of a closed cell foam mat for right now, but will be checking out those types of twin waterbed and trundle bed style frames for the future!

Cheryl, your Little Guy is beautiful. Have you got a picture of how the side tent is constructed? Great idea!

Nope---didn't work. I find when I copy something if I right click on the url it highlights it and then I can choose "copy". On here all you have to do is "paste then.

Thanks for the info though.

Cheryl,
Do you have any pictures close up of your privacy curtain construction and how you attached it to the canopy?

Hey Rebecca,

It was great meeting you as well. You should warn everyone about those pesky raccoons you ran into.
