Dog the bounty hunter,,, bad person..

Postby MOKI SEAKER » Mon Aug 20, 2007 4:49 pm

Dog has been charged $300,000 or his bond has. and has to report to the court if he travels. WHY, well seems he went to Mexico and caught a rapest and returned him to the US Courts. Its illegal to be a bounty hunter in Mexico, and altho Mexco let him off the hook, the US isn't going to, seems funny he never committed a crime here. Maybe there is something wrong with this picture....??? Jim G :? :? :?

You just heard about this? This has been going on forever. Close to a year, I think.

Total nonsense, and screw the Mexicans in this case.

Mexico has dropped all charges, It is the U.S. prosecuters going after him now.

I heard about that quite some time ago...what a load of crap!!! The guy, (Dog) I'm sure knew he wasn't allowed to do that, but went after the bad guy anyway and caught him. If the members of NOW have any spine, they better back this guy up on his actions and lobby hard to get charges dropped against him. If not, I'm sure a lot of people won't want to hear them whine about anything anymore. There's lots of "bad guys" that use the border as a way to duck the heat...Sorry...but this kind of BS just drives me nuts...Does anyone know if the bad guy was released since he was nabbed illegally? I wouldn't be surprised...and before anyone rips on me...It's the old standby, but still holds true...what if it were your daughter or wife/sister? Doug

HOLY CRAP! I DIDN'T KNOW THIS!

What's their problem? Is he making them look BAD!?

This guy isn't just a Christian in name--he LIVES it.

It's amazing how he does his job, yet at the same time, is compassionate and tries to help those people he apprehends with his words and caring. It's amazing how inspirational and helpful those words can be at that distressing time for some of those folks.

The publicity he gets will be worth more than it costs him.

Da Dog said:
"I'm going to keep bounty hunting in the U.S., but not in Mexico. I don't
know anything else to do. I still have a few to pick up. I felt like I'd had a
heart transplant (when the charges were dropped). I felt brand new."

U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren left the bond in effect Thursday Aug. 16 2007.

"We're devastated," Chapman said, according to a news release form his publicist.

The U.S. Office of International Affairs in Washington opposed lifting the
bond, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Ronald Johnson requested more time to
work on the case. Now the US office has issued an order not to release the
bond because they need "more time" to look at the case.
Reportedly,
the US Magistrate judge also told the Chapman family that he's going on
vacation through October,
so they won't be able to deal with the case until
his return.

"This is unacceptable,"
said Beth Chapman, the bounty hunter's wife.

Chapman's nonfiction book "You Can Run But You Can't Hide" is No. 5 on
the Publishers Weekly's best-sellers list for the week of Aug. 20.

is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards." -------Theodore Roosevelt

Sooo...There's ONE federal judge in the United States of America that can rule on this and he's taking the next 10 weeks off!!
Due process?

My thought exactly... however judicial handling of cases most likely don't
slosh over to other judges as you would like and imply. Evidently in this case
it isn't going to happen, Paul.

I wonder if the judge gets a paid vacation, 10 weeks. That your tax dollar at work. I better check with my boss. I could use 10 weeks of paid vacation. But, you have to feel sorry for the judge, 10 weeks and not one night in a tear in the wilderness. Jim G :D :D :D

If I took no time off during the year, and rolled over the maximum number of hours from the pervious year, I still couldn't take 10 weeks off. The most I could possibly do is 8 weeks.
