Cheryl, was your tear at Talbot Island last year? I think I saw it there but I didn't have a chance to get down there. I saw it down near the water while I was driving around looking for a place to park. I remember seeing a Lil'Guy with a bunch of red accessories.

I was in FL at the time and drove up to visit my brother who lives in Jax. I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time there but I met up with a few of our infamous characters from the Southeast.

Hi Ladies! (And gents, too)
I haven't been on the forum in a while and it took forever to read this thread, don't think I'll even try the others. Keep it up!

Seems like I've been trying to pack a year's worth of projects into a couple months. Thought I'd send a quick update just so you know I'm still around and lurking from time to time.

I actually have walls up, and the roof skinned. Image Also have the front storage compartment and shelf done. Image
I'm shooting for having it campable by Sept. 14, for the Salty Teardroppers gathering in Garden City, UT.

It seems like all my progress has been in the past couple weeks. Suddenly I have SOMETHING in front of my house. I've met a couple of my shyer neighbors in the last few days, and I surprised an older man taking a picture yesterday. Feels good to have the end in site. There's lots more pics in my blog, as well as a few humiliating stories.

In the meantime, keep posting!

With all the talk of colors on here, has anybody used pink? Not my favorite color I was just wondering if anyone has a pink td or TTT?

Sam!!

I'm impressed with your progress! You have been moving right along. It won't be long before you are camping in your new baby.

Keep up the good work!

Carol:

I have those and I wrap them around a garden metal do-ma-jiggy thing (little fence) in front of my tear so no one runs into the tongue and splits a knee. I have them lit up and got so many cool comments. Got them from Home Depot, no Lowe's at Christmas. Check at Big Lots, if you have one around there because they have cute lights too.

Great work, Sam! You're almost there! We haven't signed up for the Bear Lake outing yet, but we better do that pretty soon. We went last year and had a fun time, despite the snow and lack of trailers! Everybody let a little snow keep them at home! But hey, we had the beach completely to ourselves! And the famous Bear Lake raspberry shakes taste great even when it's cold.

Hope to see you there with your trailer!

I have two quilt sets that I use in my TD - one is for winter with the deep red, gold, green colors and the other one is for spring/summer and that one is light pink, green, yellow, blue in color. They both came from Wal-Mart at a great price. I am not into "modern country" so to speak but I love the old country look. I love colors, red, pink, green and the deep gold are my favorites, but NO pink TD - just a plain boring white.

Hey Sam~

Lookin' so good!!!! I love the green and the 'workwomanship' is terrific!!! I'm committed to Kansas the same weekend as Utah so can't come west but am looking forward to the next time we can camp together.... Any chance you could come to Colorado the end of September for the "Last Gasp"???? It's a pretty far drive for you but would be so worth it to get together!!!! Keep rollin' girlfriend!

I picked up some pink flamingo lights at Big Lots a week ago.... couldn't resist even though they are pink and all my other Jewel Box accessories are red... I have some other jewel kinda lights and bought a third string of those.
Sorry, no pics but I have some satin looking red curtains and also bought some shiny gold for curtains... I planned on changing out curtains etc with different holidays/themes but everything has a little red in it in one way or another.

My next idea (theme) for a trailer is one with ever changing accessories and whimsy according to the theme or season !!!
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Thanks Joanne, Jeanette and Pam! I'm chomping at the bit now.

Pam, I hadn't really thought of the Last Gasp (maybe afraid I would still be in a tent?), I'll have to look at it. I'm dying to get out as much as possible before it gets too cold.

I have those and I wrap them around a garden metal do-ma-jiggy thing (little fence) in front of my tear so no one runs into the tongue and splits a knee.
What a GREAT idea! I think I have a permanent bruise from doing exactly that.

Sam, that's exactly why I did it! I kept telling my myself to watch out for the tongue and "Bam", walked right into it. Well, after I caught my breath and the profanity stopped, I went and bought the metal thing-a-ma-jig. I have seen lots of them around TD's but not with lights. It also helps to find your TD in a park at night.

Sam,
Love the way the TD is comming out. I especialy like the way you have your front end shelving (blanket chest?). How does the box on the inside work? I'm just curious?

Thanks
