Are there too many off topic posts on this forum?

Here's where we keep the polls, and anyone can start a poll!

What would you do about off topic posts?

I love all posts that have nothing to do with teardrops. The more the better - and in any topic area too.

I think some one should go through the Hall of Fame and remove all pictures of NON ACTIVE members, those who haven't posted for over a year or known to have left the building, and those photos that go to dead links. Also, there are double posts that should be fixed (like remove one).

Thought this was like a fire side chat.

Conversation is kinda that way .

It wanders over several topics with a little humor thrown in.

It would be awful dry if we all took these matters as life and death.

Yep... It's kinda like a "TD gathering" by remote. People of like minds and interests
enjoying the conversation. About as good as it gets if ya ask me.

Steve,

I did your searching for you! Here's what I found...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thread_hijacking

Thread hijacking is the act of trying to steer a web forum discussion thread off topic by discussing a subject entirely unrelated to the subject at hand.

While this can be an intentional act of trolling, it is often accidental - caused by other participants in the discussion responding to a throwaway remark, taking the thread off at a tangent to the original subject matter. The results, whilst sometimes humorous or otherwise interesting, often provoke a feeling of resentment from the author of the original post.

I don't think that there are too many 'Off Topic' threads, but I DO think that there are WAY TOO MANY 'User Polls' :D
