I'm honored...

I am now an official member of ASMP, or American Society of Media Photographers, formerly known as American Society of Magazine Photographers.

This is a big honor for me because you have to be nominated for this by a member, and I was nominated by a photography legend, Al Satterwhite.

To get a grasp on this, Al has a Wikipedia page, which is pretty cool.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Satterwhite

Then, I got a card from an Art Director of merit saying he likes what I am doing at American Driver, and he is one of my idols. He is a friend of mine now, and he is awesome.

Maybe I have some potential in this business. Gotta keep working, though --- I still have a long way to go to acheive what these two guys have done.

What photography have you done to warrant this new membership?
Can you share some of your pictures so we can understand what they
are looking for in a members artistic creativity?

27 member only? Well, Image

Congratulations. That is quite an honor.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Glenn, congratulations!

And...

I got the copy of your magazine yesterday, and all I can say is WOW!

Guys, the photography is awesome, and the subjects are incredible. Amazing vehicles, boats, ets.

The average income of the average reader of American Driver has to be like a million bucks.

I couldn't afford the LUG NUTS on some of these cars.
Here we go again!

Thanks for all the compliments.

Auntie M -- I tend to not take a lot of pics at gatherings, because it is kinda like working on vacation, lol. I need to get a pocket-sized camera to take to campouts, so I don't have to lug around the D2X, which weighs a ton.

Steve, there is a link to photos in my signature. More added regularly.

Ira, glad you like the magazine. You are pretty close on the demographics we aim for, but in addition to millionaires, we also have quite a few posers, like me, who read and dream about owning those cars. If you can afford the lug nuts, you are wealthier than I am.
