There are heaters - including the MrHeater products - which use a flame (not a catalytic burner) and which are intended and apparently approved (at least in the U.S.) for indoor use. They are not vented.

Now, I didn't say I thought they were a good idea...

I have camped the last two deer seasons in a camper with a catalytic heater. It was well below zero outside and toasty warm inside. We did keep a couple windows cracked, and the CO2 detector never went off.

The travel trailers that I have looked at (including an older one we completely rebuilt) have black pipe running under the trailer for the propane. I don't know if there is a reason they do this, as rolled copper would seem easier to work with. Maybe copper is not as durable, or it will get brittle if it is continuously flexed. They ran copper tubing up from the black pipe to a regulator near the tank. Rubber tubing from the regulator to the tank. Rolled copper from fittings on the black pipe up to the appliances. You will notice that a lot of popup campers have a quick-connect fitting on the outside of the camper to move the inside stove outside. You could incorporate something like that for your stove if it's not permanently mounted.

Thanks for the positive outlook and not dieing.

My wife and I have put the catalyc heater idea on hold for now and are looking at putting in a exterior exhaust heater. If we still can do the catalyc heater with out any CO2 emmissions we may stick with that idea, but for now I'm sure we will be warm enough with a down comforter. Plus I don't have the $400 for another heater.

Thanks again,
