Wish me luck, car show this weekend.

Postby Darren » Fri Aug 24, 2007 12:07 pm

I'm heading out to the Midwest Slamfest car show in Warrensburg Missouri. It's my first time setting up a booth so I'm a little nervous. I'm going to have the teardrop as part of my display to draw people in and hopefully sell all the mugs I've made, I'm camping all weekend also because I'm too cheap to get a motel. I'm the Premier Sponsor of the show and donated 56 etched glass trophies. I'll be taking photos and post them when I can.

I have to ditto Caseydog. Nice work.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Victor Star,

How much would be the mugs or glasses if we put the a teardrop logo on them for forumn members or prizes for gatherings

No problem Jack. LCG is a ways off and I still have one more show before the season is over.

Thanks teardroppers. :D

I have plans to make up some teardrop related items once the next car show is over. I really like Deans swoosh drop designs and will try to make something along those lines.

This is really just a hobby and I enjoy making custom items. I'm really hoping to get some photos of the "car show girls" with the teardrop this weekend and maybe get it into one of the magazines that's covering the event.

Also have plans for some unique etched glass lighting for the inside of the trailer. More to come on that.

Very nice work on the mug shown, I'm sure you'll do well at the car show.

Thanks for wishing me good luck. Had a great time. An awesome storm rolled in Friday night so I pulled the Blazer and teardrop under the tent they supplied me. Just me and a tent camper stayed at the fairgrounds so we hung out. The bikini contest was, well, interisting. Didn't get any photos with the car show girls. Maybe next time. Ended up selling 25 mugs so I was happy about that. Several people came by for a trailer tour also. Here's what the trophies looked like. I made 56 of them.

The next show is October 6th and 7th in Bentonville Arkansas. I'm thinking about staying at Prairie Creek on Beaver Lake. Anyone been there and is it a nice place?

Thanks again,
Darren

:applause: Great trophies Darren. I have to ask the banker if we can go to Bentonville but it sounds like fun.
